A round up of some of the incidents GNAAS has attended over the last few days: Friday, 4:50pm: We were called to Lowther, Penrith, after a man was thrown from a horse drawn carriage at the Lowther Horse Carriage Driving Trials.

A round up of some of the incidents GNAAS has attended over the last few days:

Friday, 4:50pm: We were called to Lowther, Penrith, after a man was thrown from a horse drawn carriage at the Lowther Horse Carriage Driving Trials. The 79-year-old from Penrith sustained head and chest injuries and was treated at the scene by onsite medical staff and GNAAS doctor and paramedic before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in a stable condition. The flight took 10 minutes. A 23-year-old female also sustained minor injuries.

Saturday, 10:30am: We were called to Summerhouses, County Durham, after two cars collided head-on. A 22-year-old female from the local area sustained pelvis injuries and was treated at the scene before being flown to James Cook University Hospital for specialist investigations. The flight took 6 minutes and she arrived in a stable condition.

Saturday, 1:05pm: We were called to Litton, Yorkshire Dales, after a male motorcyclist was involved in an accident and sustained a serious leg injury. YAS paramedics also attended. The 45-year-old from Ripon was treated at the scene before being flown to James Cook University Hospital. The flight took 15 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.

Saturday, 3:00pm: We were called to A6079, Northumberland, after a cyclist was involved in a collision with a car and he sustained life-threatening injuries. He was treated at the scene by NEAS paramedics and the GNAAS doctor and paramedic before being flown to Newcastle’s RVI. The flight took 10 minutes and he arrived in a critical condition.
