A round-up of some of our latest missions:

Fri 13:25pm: An 18-month-old girl was scalded by a hot drink at Bowness-on-Windermere. She was treated at the scene by GNAAS doctor and paramedic and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) paramedics before being taken to hospital in Lancaster by road ambulance.

Fri 14:45pm: A 62-year-old man had fallen from his ladders at Knock, near Appleby. He was treated for serious head and back injuries by GNAAS crew and NWAS paramedics. The man from Culgaith, near Penrith, was flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 15 minutes.

Fri 14:40pm: Two cars had collided head-on at the A19 northbound at Dalton Piercy, near Hartlepool. A woman, believed in her forties, had sustained multiple serious and life-threatening injuries. She was anaesthetised on the roadside by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic team, working alongside North East Ambulance Service personnel. She was then flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The flight took five minutes.

Sat 15:50pm: A 42-year-old woman, from Redcar, had sustained injuries in a paragliding accident at Fleetwith Pike. She was treated at the scene by GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew for injuries to her abdomen and wrist and flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment. The flight took 14 minutes.

Sat 16:00pm: A 13-year-old boy suffered severe electric burns to 70 per cent of his body. The teenager was anaesthetised at the scene by GNAAS doctor, who worked alongside a rapid response paramedic team from the North East Ambulance Service. He was then airlifted to Newcastle RVI following the incident at the Tyne Yard Railway Depot, north of Birtley, Gateshead. The flight took less than five minutes.

Sun 15:00pm: A woman, believed in her thirties, was involved in a road traffic accident on the A66 near Keswick. She was assessed at the scene before being flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with back and abdomen injuries. The flight took 10 minutes.
