Kendal cyclist severely injured in collision with car


At 1.35pm yesterday the Great North Air Ambulance Service were called to a cyclist who had been involved in a collision with a car at Kirkstone Pass. The 34-year-old man from Kendal had suffered severe head, arm and chest injuries and was treated by NWAS paramedics and the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to a major trauma centre in Preston.

The 34-year-old man from Kendal had suffered severe head, arm and chest injuries and was treated by NWAS paramedics and the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to a major trauma centre in Preston.

The flight to hospital took 20 minutes and he was stable on arrival.
