Kendal cyclist hospitalised after falling off bike


A KENDAL man was taken to hospital after falling off his bike in the Lake District. The 52-year-old fell after hitting ice while cycling on the B5285 near Coniston Water. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at around 10:30am yesterday morning. On arrival, the aircrew doctor and paramedi]c treated the man for hip and leg injuries, before he was transported to Furness General Hospital by land ambulance. .
