IT firm raise funds for GNAAS

An IT service provider has handed over a donation to the Great North Air Ambulance as an initial donation after teaming up with the charity. IT Professional Services (ITPS) have handed over £100 to GNAAS with the potential for more fundraising efforts and donations in the future. GNAAS took on ITPS on as their IT support workers recently and subsequently the Gateshead-based firm vowed to raise money for the charity, which is run entirely on public donations. The initial donation was raised by the ITPS team taking part in a dress down day which allowed staff to wear non-uniform. Matt Lumley, a field engineer at ITPS, said: “It’s great to be working with GNAAS and giving them our IT specialist care, we thought we would support them in more ways than IT support by holding this dress down day. “It was a very simple way to raise money, it was enjoyable because we didn’t have to wear uniform and it was also important as it is supporting the great work of GNAAS.” Mandy Drake, head of fundraising at GNAAS, said: “Thank you to ITPS for their continued support in more than one way.
