Incident round-up: July 8 and 9


Some of the incidents attended by the Great North Air Ambulance Service this weekend: On Saturday, at 11.30am, we were called to Slaley Hall, Hexham, where a woman in her 30s had fallen off a quadbike and broken her arm.

Some of the incidents attended by the Great North Air Ambulance Service this weekend:

On Saturday, at 11.30am, we were called to Slaley Hall, Hexham, where a woman in her 30s had fallen off a quadbike and broken her arm. She was treated on scene and taken to hospital by North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) where she arrived in a stable condition.

At 5.20pm on Saturday, we were called to Houghton-le-Spring, where a woman in her 50s was injured in a road traffic collision. Thankfully, those injuries were found to be only minor and she was taken by NEAS to hospital.

On Sunday morning at 11am, we were called to Appleby, Cumbria, where a woman in her 80s had broken her leg.  She was taken to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 15 minutes and the patient was stable on arrival.

At 7.45pm yesterday, we were called to Easedale Tarn, near Ambleside, Cumbria, where a man in his 60s had collapsed. He was flown to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, where he arrived in a stable condition. The flight took 14 minutes.
