Incident Round-Up: July 7 & 8


Here are some of the incidents we attended this weekend:


On Saturday at 2pm we were called to assist the North East Ambulance Service​ (NEAS) on the A1 (M) Durham, after a lorry had overturned. A man, believed to be in his 40s, was assessed and treated by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team before being taken to hospital by a NEAS road crew. He arrived in a stable condition.

On Sunday at 1pm we were called to assist NEAS in Prudhoe where a man, believed to be in his 20s, was having breathing difficulties. He was assessed and treated by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team and taken to the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington by a NEAS road crew. He arrived in a stable condition.

At 6pm we were called to Stickle Tarn where man, believed to be in his 20s, had sustained a head injury after a fall. Thank you to Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT)​ for their assistance, including carrying the patient up Stickle Ghyll so we could airlift him to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 14 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
