Incident Round-Up: July 4

Here are some of the incidents we attended yesterday:

We assisted North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) in Wigton where a woman had fallen down stairs. She was assessed and treated by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team before being airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

We were then called to Crag Lough, Hadrians Wall, where a man had fallen. We worked alongside Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team, Maritime and Coastguard Agency Search and Rescue Team, North East Ambulance Service and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team. The patient was assessed and treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to the RVI.
