Incident round-up: August 31 and September 1


Here are some of the incidents we attended on August 31 and September 1: Yesterday at 3.50pm we were called to assist North East Ambulance Service with a male, believed to be in his 70s, who had sustained a significant leg injury after falling in a field.

Yesterday at 3.50pm we were called to assist North East Ambulance Service with a male, believed to be in his 70s, who had sustained a significant leg injury after falling in a field. The area was inaccessible by road, but the aircraft was able to land close to the patient.
He was assessed on scene by the paramedic and doctor team before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for on-going treatment.The flight took eight minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.

At 10.50am today we were called to near Rothbury, to reports of a collision between a car and a HGV. A male, believed to be in his 80s, sustained fractured ribs and leg injuries. The patient was assessed on scene by the paramedic and doctor team before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The flight took 13 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.

Today at 11am we were called to Cleadon, South Tyneside, where a teenage male was reported to have been injured in a collision with a car. We joined North East Ambulance Service on scene. Our paramedic and doctor team assessed the patient and administered treatment for multiple injuries. He was then flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The flight took six minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
