Housing staff in Redcar have raised £4,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS). Social housing providers, Coast & Country, have taken part in a series of fundraising events, including quiz and race nights, golf days, cake bakes and even a dip in the North Sea. GNAAS volunteer, Ed Kirkham, recently collected the funds and gladly accepted a cake decorated as a cheque. Mandy Drake, head of fundraising at GNAAS said: “The money raised will go towards keeping our aircraft in the sky and for that, we thank you.” .
