Hilltop rescue after climber falls on Cumbrian peak


A woman was airlifted to hospital after falling 10 metres while climbing at Raven Crag, Borrowdale, Cumbria.


The incident happened yesterday afternoon, September 25th, when the woman in her fifties fell and injured her back and pelvis.

GNAAS’ Cumbria-based crew attended the incident with Keswick MRT.

GNAAS medics treated the patient at the scene before the RAF winched her and took her to hospital in Carlisle.

Her condition was stable and non-life-threatening.
