A huge good luck to everyone who is taking part in the mammoth Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) Ullswater Challenge this weekend.

The participants will endure an eight-mile kayak down Ullswater, then ascend to the summit of Helvellyn on foot via Striding Edge. They will descend via Swirral Edge before returning to their kayaks for the final paddle back up Ullswater, towards Pooley Bridge. This will be completed in daylight hours this Sunday.

The challenge will put participants to the test but stick it out, it’s for a great cause!

Good luck and don’t forget to share your photos with us if you are taking part!
