The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to a man who suffered serious heart problems at Otterburn, Northumberland, on Sunday at 2:10pm. He was treated by a rapid response paramedic, GNAAS doctor-led trauma team and North East Ambulance Service before being flown to Newcastle’s RVI in a critical condition. The flight took 12 minutes; a journey that would have taken around 46 minutes by road..
