Female walker airlifted after fracturing ankle in Mitford


Yesterday on Tuesday August 15, we were called at 6.25pm to Mitford, near Morpeth, to assist the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS), after a female, believed to be in her 60s, fractured her ankle while walking. The patient was in an area completely inaccessible by road, and after treatment she was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The flight took seven minutes and she arrived in a stable condition..
