Our supporters are wonderful and the way they show their dedication is quite impressive, we’ve literally had hundreds of you come forward and pledge your support at a variety of challenge events and the impact of this is clear to see. Back in May 350 cyclists participated in the Hamsterley Beast cycle ride, smashing last year’s event income by a massive £7,500. The event, which is in its second year since has raised a total  income of 17,500 . We’re also waiting to see the  fundraising totals for June’s events  which included Middlesbrough 5k Run, Virgin Money Cyclone Cycle Festival and the Total Warrior mud run in Leeds. If you participated we hope  it was a memorable and rewarding experience. If you would like to come forward  with your fundraising story that would be incredible, as it would help us promote  the event even better next year!

Up next is the Total Warrior mud run in the Lake District on August 6th and 7th.  There are still places available if running, mud and  obstacles is your thing. Click here for more info. Equally gruelling is the Roof of England Sportive, a challenging cycle ride around the North Pennines with 9000ft of climbing. Do you know an cycling enthusiast who has a passion for fundraising? Share this link with them. Free places are still available.

Then in September we have a cluster of running such as The Taylor Wimpey Tees Pride 10k in Middlesbrough and the Great North Run  which will see over 200 runners pound the streets of  Newcastle Gateshead and South shields  in aid of GNAAS. Free places are still available in the Middlesbrough 10k event  but due to its ever increasing demand, the GNAAS Great North Run team is now full and raring to go, but worry not, you can still support us if you have your own place simply contact us to request your fundraising pack! Alternatively, how about becoming a volunteer for the day? Embrace the electric atmosphere and speak with many of our inspiring supporters about their fundraising stories.

Lastly, if motorcycling is your thing,  admissions are now open and you can secure your place on our website.

If you’ve you been thinking about supporting your local air ambulance through some sort of fundraising event then maybe leave it no longer, take a look at our events calendar and get booked in. Click here.
