Fallen climber suffers serious leg injury


The air ambulance team were called to the aid of a climber that had fallen at Brown Cove Crags, north-west of Helvellyn in the Lake District on Saturday (24th Jan). The aircrew from the Pride of Cumbria aircraft and Keswick Mountain Rescue Team located the casualty before treating him at the scene for a serious leg injury. The RAF Sea King then winched the man to safety before flying him to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary.  .
