Elderly driver rolls down embankment at Haltwhistle


An elderly driver left the road and rolled down an embankment at Haltwhistle today (Apr 21). The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to help the woman who had sustained large head lacerations. The 75-year-old was treated at the scene by the GNAAS team and North East Ambulance Service paramedics, before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
