Driver cut free after two car collision near Stockton


A man was cut free from his car and airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle smash on the A177 between Stockton and Sedgefield at around 4pm today. Emergency services, including the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS), were called to the scene. A 44-year-old man was examined by the doctor-led trauma team and was found to have suffered non life-threatening back, neck and abdomen injuries. North East Ambulance Service paramedics transported the patient to University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton for further treatment..
