Cyclist airlifted after crashing into wall at Cockermouth


A CYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after she crashed into a wall at Wythop Mill, Cockermouth. The 43-year-old woman fell from her bike on Sunday (January 31) and the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called into action. The patient had sustained back injuries and was treated at the scene by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic team and North West Ambulance Service paramedics before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.
