Crash victim airlifted to hospital with life-threatening chest injury


A 70-YEAR-OLD man has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash on a North Yorkshire road. The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called in to assist Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics after the driver suffered the serious injury, which happened on the A167 near Northallerton at 11.15am (October 12). Once the man was stabilised at the scene, he was flown to the major trauma centre at James Cook University Hospital in eight minutes.
