Boy, 7, flown to hospital after condition deteriorates in ambulance


A young boy was flown to hospital after his condition suddenly deteriorated in an ambulance. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Cark to assist North West Ambulance Service paramedics at 2pm on Saturday, February 13. The 7-year-old child who was unwell due to a medical condition, was assessed and treated by the aircrew doctor and paramedic before he was anaesthetised at the scene.

The 7-year-old child who was unwell due to a medical condition, was assessed and treated by the aircrew doctor and paramedic before he was anaesthetised at the scene. He was then flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within 18 minutes, where he arrived in a stable condition.
