Boy, 6, sustains serious facial injury after bike fall at Whinfell Forest


A 6-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after falling from his bike at Whinfell Forest, Penrith, yesterday. The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the forest at 1:40pm, and the doctor-led aircrew treated the boy, who was from the Isle of Man, for a serious facial injury. He was then flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within 19 minutes, where he arrived in a stable condition..
