Baby taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries


A 14-month-old girl was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries yesterday. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to reports of a child who had taken a fall at home, in Eston, Middlesbrough, at 11.21am. The doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated the patient before she was transported to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, by North East Ambulance Service, accompanied by the GNAAS crew. The girl arrived in a serious but stable condition.   .
