Baby airlifted to hospital from Bamburgh


A 16-month-old baby was airlifted to hospital after suffering from a medical condition on Sunday (July 31). The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist North East Ambulance Service at a caravan park near to Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland, at 10.39am. The child was assessed and treated by the doctor-led aircrew before being airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle within 20 minutes, where she arrived in a critical but stable condition..
