Air ambulance called to Hartlepool stabbing


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Hartlepool at around 3.15pm yesterday to reports of a stabbing. The charity’s aircraft based at Durham Tees Valley Airport attended the incident and landed at Raby Gardens. A man, in his mid-twenties, had suffered a serious chest injury and the GNAAS aircrew treated the patient at the scene before he was transported to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough by North East Ambulance Service, accompanied by the GNAAS crew.
