Air ambulance called to Catbells after walker collapses


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Catbells in the Lake District after a man collapsed. GNAAS was called to the fell on Friday 11th at 11.58am. The 68-year-old walker was assessed and treated by the Pride of Cumbria aircrew and Keswick Mountain Rescue Team before being stretchered 250 metres to the aircraft.

The 68-year-old walker was assessed and treated by the Pride of Cumbria aircrew and Keswick Mountain Rescue Team before being stretchered 250 metres to the aircraft. He was then flown to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary in 11 minutes.
