Yesterday at 2.40pm we were called to Warcop, where a man, believed to be in his 60s, was injured in a paragliding incident.

He was assessed and treated by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team and flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 15 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.

Later at 5.40pm we were called to assist North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) at a karting track in Middlesbrough where a male motorcyclist, believed to be in his 40s, was involved in a collision with another motorcyclist. The patient was assessed and treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The flight took six minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
