Yesterday at 1.18pm we were called to Brampton, where a man, believed to be in his 50s, had been crushed by a cow. The patient sustained chest injuries and was treated by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team before being airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 10 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.

Later at 3pm we were called to Whitehaven, where a man, believed to be in his 40s, was reported to have fallen off his bike. He was treated and assessed by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 12 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
