The helicopters and crew of the Great North Air Ambulance Service are called upon more than 1,000 times every year. They respond to the most seriously ill and injured patients across an area of about 8,000 square miles. To support this life-saving work, we are recruiting an Administration Officer who will provide essential clerical assistance to the team from the Durham Tees Valley Airport base.
The role will involve supporting senior management in the day to day running of the operations department. This could involve planning meetings, developing office procedures and liaising with charity departments to support the work of the team.
The successful applicant will work within an operationally sensitive area and be involved in the collection of clinical data which may at times be detailed and potentially distressing.
They will have at least three years of experience in working in a busy office environment or similar role. They will be highly organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
