WEST CUMBRIAN RUN

The West Cumbrian Run (WCR) is a new 10 mile event from Cockermouth to Workington is scheduled to be an annual road running race in Memory of Police Officer Bill Barker.

The route will follow the road cycle path from Cockermouth town centre to Workington (Barker Bridge) on July 18th 2010. Event organisers Big-Q Events Ltd are hoping for a 1,000 plus field in year one with a £100,000 charity target figure set.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service are charity of the year for 2010 and are a charity close to the heart of Bill Barkers family.
