Angels of the North Campaign - in association with the Suday Sun
Thank you for taking time to look at the Sunday Sun Air Angels Campaign. Your support is greatly appreciated. We’d also like to thank you on behalf of the unfortunate people that we will attend to over the coming year.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service is a registered charity that relies on the generosity of people like you to keep this life saving service in the sky. We don’t receive any money from the government or National Lottery (we even have to pay for paramedics, drugs and blankets).
Over the past year we have helped save and eased the suffering of over 1,500 people across the North – from the Scottish Borders to the North Yorkshire Moor stretching from the east coast to west coast. We’ve even won an award for innovation from the Ambulance Service Institute, for our work helping getting heart attack victims to the specialist care they need at James Cook Hospital in Middleborough.
Until now the charity, has always leased its aircraft, but by buying our own helicopter for the first time will allow us to:
:: Save even more lives and ease more pain and suffering
:: Ensure the safety of the charity for years to come
:: Maintain our position as one of the best Air Ambulance charities in the country
:: Make the donations from people life yourselves go even further.
